Taqueria Tres Amigos opened in December of 2007 with the goal of bringing authentic Mexican food to the Carrboro and he Triangle area. We’re serving it up Monday – Friday 10:30 to 8 and Saturday 11:30-4.

If you’re looking for burritos or other Tex-Mex dishes, you won’t find them here. But what you will find is simple, fresh Mexican food that you’re sure to love! Like traditional taquerias in Mexico, our menu includes staples such as tacos made from handmade tortillas, sopes, gorditas, and tortas, just to name a few! Absolutely EVERYTHING on the menu is made in house and by hand and we guarantee you’ll taste the freshness in every bite!

Taco – $2 Your choice of meat served on a handmade corn tortilla and topped with tomatoes, onions and cilantro.
Gordita – $3.25 A thick fried corn tortilla stuffed with refried beans, your choice of meat, lettuce and cheese.
Sope – $3.25 A thick fried corn tortilla topped with refried beans, your choice of meat, lettuce and cheese.
Quesadilla – $3.25 Corn tortilla stuffed with cheese and your choice of meat. Served with side of pico de gallo.

Tostada de ceviche – $3.50 Tilapia cooked in lime with tomatoes, onions, cilantro and our special blend of spices. Served on a fried corn tortilla.

Mexican-style Cheeseburger – $7 Hamburger patty topped with grilled ham, bacon, pineapple and cheese. Served on a lightly toasted bun with mayo, lettuce, tomatoes and cured chili peppers. Served with potato chips.

Mexican-style Hot Dog – $3.50 Hot dog rolled in bacon and cooked on the grill. Served on a lightly toasted bun with mayo, onions, tomatoes and cured chili peppers. Served with chips.

Platillo Mexicano – $8 Combination platter includes your choice of meat, cooked cactus, refried beans, avocado and side of tomatoes, onions, and cilantro. Served with handmade corn tortillas.

Alambre – $8 Grilled carne asada , peppers, bacon and onions, topped with melted cheese and served over 3 flour tortillas.

Tortas

Torta – $7.50 Mexican style sandwich served on lightly toasted roll with your choice of meat. Includes layer of refried beans, your choice of meat, queso fresco, lettuce, tomatoes, chilies, and guacamole.

Torta Milanesa – $7.50 Fried breaded steak, beans, lettuce, tomatoes, chilies, queso fresco & guacamole.

Torta Hawaiiana – $8 Layer of refried beans, grilled ham and pineapple, topped with melted cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, chilies, and guacamole.

Torta Cubana – $8 Layer of refried beans, fried breaded steak, hot dogs, ham, melted cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, chilies, and guacamole.
